Single-Phase vs Three-Phase Servo Stabilizers
Understand single-phase and three-phase servo stabilizers, balanced vs unbalanced correction, and which your premises need.
Which supply do you have?
The first question is simple: is your premises supplied on single phase or three phase? Homes, small shops and small offices are usually single phase. Factories, larger commercial buildings and heavy equipment run on three phase. Your stabilizer must match your supply.
Single-phase stabilizers
A single-phase unit corrects one live conductor against neutral, holding it near 230 V. It protects household and small-business equipment — refrigerators, air conditioners, computers and the like — from voltage swings.
Three-phase: balanced vs unbalanced
Three-phase premises have a choice. If the load is spread fairly evenly across the three phases, a balanced stabilizer corrects them together, which is efficient and cost-effective. If some phases carry much more load than others — common where single-phase machines or lighting are mixed in — an unbalanced (independently-corrected) unit regulates each phase on its own for a stable output all round.
Single phase for homes and small premises. Three phase for industry: balanced for even loads, unbalanced when the phases differ.

Not for the whole premises. A single-phase unit only corrects one phase. Three-phase premises need a three-phase stabilizer sized to the installation.
What makes a load 'unbalanced'?
When the three phases don't carry equal load — for example, several single-phase machines on one phase. Independently-corrected three-phase stabilizers handle this well.
